1938 LANCIA APRILIA MK 1 LUSSO

The early years of this very advanced pre war sporting saloon are unknown, but in the mid 1980,s it was driven up from Southampton to Scotland, where it became every day transport for its new owner, a retired nurse. It then passed in to the hands of a motor engineer and some 10 years ago was bought by a prominent Scottish lawyer, who stored the car do to business commitments. it was then bought from a Hereford auction by a retired engineer, who totally stripped the car down to the last nut and bolt. the complete body was given the ultimate SRL rust treatment at a cost of £1,868. This process involves 3 tank dips,1 to remove the paint,1 to kill the rust and 1 electrophoretic coat which is the same process undertaken on a modern car. The engine, gearbox, suspension and brakes were rebuilt. The body was repainted and rebuilt with new interior. There is a comprehensive history file with the car.
